Bye Bye Belgium

So it's my last day. I have Andy's dad's car today so I ran some last minute errands - things for our last breakfast tomorrow, chocolate to hand out when I get back, etc. Here are some photos from this week:

Gulden Sporen is a reference to the Battle of the Golden Spurs that happened in 1302. The battle took place in Kortrijk and the Flemish defeated the French once and for all. And Bockor is a local brewery.

This shop is open for the whole Summer! That is a rare thing around here...

In Andy's front yard:

The world's smallest church:

Bjorn and Ellen's sandwich shop (Andy's brother). That is Andy's handiwork on the sign.

War memorial in the center of the Grote Markt:

The begynhof (convent). It dates from the 1200s.

My flight leaves tomorrow at noon and I'll be home around 9pm. Can't wait to see everyone and tell all about my adventures!
